This outlines the current policies and procedures of Loverly Weddings as it relates to our booked clients and the pandemic of Covid-19 or any such pandemics hereafter. Please check back to this regularly as we reserve the right to change and alter our policies as things progress.
A message from the owner, Krysta Gorman:
Please know that I 100% empathize with the troubles all of you are potentially facing right now, loss of jobs, loss of income, potentially not getting the wedding that you've been planning and dreaming of, loss of family, illness etc. I empathize because I'm feeling it too. Please know that I do not come by these policies lightly and am doing my best to work with you and your individual needs. These are baseline policies and are subject to change based on how things go moving forward. If these policies do not seem fair or cause you any form of stress, please reach out and let me know. I'll gladly work with you 1:1 to come to a happy resolution. The last thing I ever want is to be an added source of stress. Thank you so much for your kindness and patience with me as I navigate this un-precedented time in my business.
Sincerely,
Krysta
1. RESCHEDULING YOUR WEDDING DATE
If you are rescheduling your wedding date due to the effects of a pandemic Loverly Weddings agrees to waive our standard rescheduling fee as long as you are rescheduling to another date within the same year of your original date booked.
If you are rescheduling to a different year the price of your booked package will be subject to an increase of 5% per additional year to account for inflation. For example, if your wedding was supposed to be in 2021 and you are moving to 2023 then it would be an increase of 10%.
Your original payment schedules will adjust to the new booking date, once the date has been confirmed and officially rescheduled.
Any amount paid towards your invoice will be applied to your rescheduled event date.
Once you officially decide to reschedule your wedding date, you must notify us as soon as possible. In order to confirm and secure your new date, you'll be required to sign a new contract. Please note that if you do not sign your new contract, your date is not guaranteed as we are not permitted to work without a signed contract for the new date.
To view our current availability and pick a Plan B date, please click here. Please read the disclaimer before selecting your date.
2. IF KRYSTA GORMAN IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR YOUR NEW DATE:
If you are moving your wedding to a date that I am already booked for then I will assign an associate photographer to your wedding who will document your day in my stead. You will still be clients of Loverly Weddings, communicating with me and I will still oversee your edits and the final delivery of your photos. On top of that, I will include one of my incredible assistants who regularly work by my side to assist in keeping your day on track and make sure that everything goes smoothly. My associate photographers are all vetted by me and have similar styles and quality to what I produce. In this scenario, I will ensure that you get to meet your photographer well ahead of your wedding date so you can be comfortable with them.
3. SHOULD YOU CHOOSE NOT TO RESCHEDULE DURING A LOCKDOWN:
We strongly urge all of our couples to follow the advice of the World Health Organization and our elected officials regarding large gatherings during the time of your event. As long as there is an essential service ban as it relates to events and photography, Loverly Weddings will not be legally able to perform photographic services. Should you choose to continue with your event during the essential service ban, and we are not able to perform our service then please consult section 6 of your contracts, Force Majeure.
4. SHOULD YOU WISH TO DOWNGRADE YOUR PACKAGE:
Due to some of the Provincial restrictions during the various stages of a pandemic we understand you may feel that this changes the needs of your photographic service coverage. Some may look for an elopement package with shorter time requirements. Should you wish to downgrade your collection then there will be a $250 administration fee and we will re-build you a new collection of your choosing based on our current rates during that time. If your new package comes to an amount less than what your payments to date total is then you can apply the balance of what you've paid towards prints and products offered in our online store.
If you've had an engagement session completed, that was discounted as an add-on to a full-day collection and you are downgrading then you will also be responsible to pay for the full value of the engagement package amount which is $600.
We do not recommend downgrading your collection, you'll still want much of your day captured, more so now than ever.
Mileage charges outside of the Niagara Region will also apply at $0.75 per km rate for weddings with less than 8 hours of coverage.
All prices above are + HST.
5. ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS:
As long as there is an essential service ban, engagement sessions will not be permitted. We will continue to work with our clients to re-schedule these as needed.
If you need to re-schedule your engagement session please let us know.
You will be required to complete a Pandemic questionnaire before your session to ensure your and our safety.
6. SHOULD YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR WEDDING
Please consult your contract under Termination.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY DURING A PANDEMIC
To ensure the protection of our team and our clients we are imposing the following standards for both staff and clients as it related to any pandemic. These strict standards are at the behest of the government and the WHO recommendations.
+ If the photographer and or associates are experiencing symptoms or have been in contact with a sick person they may be required to stay home. Engagement sessions may need to be postponed. A substitute photographer will be brought in for weddings or sessions that can not be rescheduled.
+ Please bring your own sanitizer to your session. Disinfectant wipes and or hand sanitizer will be available should you forget or not have your own. Hand sanitation will be required by all staff and clients before and after the session.
+ Myself and my team will not touch our clients for the purpose of posing or fixing of hair and or wardrobe during a pandemic.
+ Myself and my team will maintain a distance of 6 feet when possible at all times, when not possible personnel will wear masks.
+ Myself and my team may choose to wear masks during indoor/outdoor weddings and photography sessions.
+ If you have a booked session or wedding you will be asked to complete a questionnaire in which you will be required to complete before the session. You will need to maintain that you do not have a fever, symptoms nor you have not been in contact with anyone who has symptoms or has tested positive for a communicable disease for up to 2 weeks or longer before your shoot. You will also have to identify if anyone participating in the shoot has had any symptoms of the disease during a pandemic.
+ If you or anyone participating in the session has been exposed to any pandemic-based disease or is experiencing symptoms you will be required to reschedule your session or those people(s) who are sick will need to stay home. If the session is a wedding and your health is in question, we reserve the right to leave and or not attend as it risks the health and safety of our team and clients. If you do not reschedule you will forfeit any money paid as per your contract agreement under Acts of God. Postponing your bridal portraits to another available day will be made an option in this event.
+ During a pandemic, it is preferred that we only photograph outdoors. However, if an inside location is required then our team will be wearing masks while photographing indoors as applicable.
